Fall Meeting of the Tuscaloosa USBC Association – September 28, 2025

 

The fall meeting of Tuscaloosa USBC was held at Shindig FEC on September 28, 2025, and was called to order at 2:03 pm by Benny Chappell, Vice President. Roll call of Officers and Board Members was taken with Jim Spitzley (excused), Hawkins Davis, Doug Shelby, and DJ Brasfield absent. Benny mentioned that we have two new members of our Board of Directors, Cindy Dionne and Garrick Pearson. Alan Snyder presented the minutes of the Spring Meeting held on May 4, 2025. Parks Burgin motioned that the minutes be accepted, seconded and passed. President, Vice President nor any directors had reports. Benny present a summary of the financial standing of the Association. Benny discussed our upcoming events and tournaments. First will be the 50/50 for breast cancer (Bowl for the Cure) held October 6-11 during league bowling. Over 50/Under 50 Doubles Tournament November 9, BVL Tournament November 9-15 during league bowling, Christmas Food Drive starts December 2, Christmas Charity Doubles Tournament December 7, and BVL 50/50 December 8-13 during league bowling. Our Thanksgiving meat sale starts October 13 with delivery on November 23 with proceeds going to our youth program. Benny mentioned that all of our events and tournaments will be on our bulletin board located behind lanes 7 and 8. Old business: None New Business: John Taylor mentioned the association’s new web site is tuscaloosabowling.com. We had two drawing for the $75 and one went to a youth member which will go in his scholarship fund. With no further business, Josh Kirby motioned to adjourn. Motion seconded and passed at 2:20 pm.
